My parts list

Post by AIbandit »

Here's my parts list.
The Excel document has hyperlinks to most of the parts on their websites.

What do you guys think about the cam kit?

Anything I'm missing besides the cam/ rod bearings.

Should I waste money on the rocker arms?

I want to get on buying parts just want to make sure this is what I need.

You don't say what year or vehicle engine you are starting with, so more details are required. If the cam you selcted has much more lift than stock, you will need different valve sprngs.

See the spreadsheet undet the topic "how much did you send onyour stoker" ( sticky at the top of this forum), it may give you some idea avbout some of the ther parts you will need.

The $90 t-body is for the renix? Also, you don't need a hv oil pump--a standard will do the job just fine.

Thanks plechtan
That cam kit comes with springs. Same one you're running 68-231-4

Looks like our costs are about the same minus the F&b and gaskets/bearings and your headers (I got mine for free woot :D http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-65923/)

That list will definitely help picking up the little things thanks.

If you have visual emissions inspections (meaning the hood is opened) and this is a road vehicle and the inspector pays a lot of attention, you will fail said inspection due to lack of EGR (even though the new engine will pollute less than an old worn out engine when tuned).

I have the same issue (90XJ with a 7120 head and 99+ intake in the works)

Thank you for you're concern. I do know about this and my vehicle is no longer street.

Are you going to adapt the renix tps to work on the obd1 tb? Might want to take a look at http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=det ... 563&catId= to get an idea.

Yeah I'm aware of it. I don't know whether or not I'm going to cough up the cash or try it myself. I think there's a naxja thread about it somewhere.
