Will the 998 convertor bolts line up with a Renix Flexplate
or does this require drilling new mounting points?

Depending on the year, you may have to redrill 1 hole as the later model engines used a semmetrical pattern and the early converters have 1 hole offset.
PTC made my converter with both patterns. I only have delt with a 2000 4.0

I know on the ZJ it was 95 or 96 that they went from one offset hole to symmetrical. Maybe the same on yours.
