Just got done installing a set of Harland Sharp roller rockers. Haven't fired it yet as it too cold out to put the rest of the engine crap back on. Easy as hell to set the pre load. And they are damn sexy too!







Too bad they don't make a clear valve cover. Meh... At least my valve cover isn't just black.

Looks good. Maybe I'll get a set of RRs in the future.

those look great! how much were they?

Lets just say they were more than I wanted to spend on a set of roller rockers. Then the spacers cost extra too.

Were they easy to install, and what other parts did you need to complete the job? Any machining work to the head?

That silver one is a Yella Terra. Titan's push rod selection among other issues killed them. When they were new and I put them on the preload was kept the same as the stock stamped steel rockers. However, now they reduce the preload significantly. I only used that one set because it got that particular cylinder to an acceptable preload. The others didn't.

They were more than the YTs. I would have been perfectly happy getting another set of YTs if it had not been for my preload issue.

Did you have to machine the stand offs on the head, or are you using a valve cover spacer so these will fit?


I have been thinking about these rockers but am worried about making sure that the geomety will be right when installed. On Dino's site it mentions that .400 needs to be removed from the head for instalation, is this for rocker geometry or valve cover clearance?

I didn't have to machine anything for them to fit. I am using the valve cover spacer. I noticed that that was aid on Dino's site and i don't understand why. I saw nothing that would require me to take them down .4"

They look super sexy! Makes me want a set now!! Anyone want to be a slightly used set of Yella Terra non adjustable roller rockers?!

I got them from hesco for the simple reason that they had everything I needed.

That does apply for the stud-mounted rockers that carry part no. S4096. I believe it's for the guideplates.
The pedestal mount S40196 are a direct, easy bolt-on replacement for the stockers like the YT6627's. There are two types; non-adjustable and adjustable. Silver XJ probably has the latter which require a valve cover spacer if they're bolted to the iron head, but fit under the stock valve cover if they're bolted to the Hesco aluminium head.

Correct, they are the adjustable version, which is why I went with HS over YT this time.
