2wheel drive to 4wheel

Post by bandit31092 »

I've got an 89 wagoneer with the 2.8 chevrolet v-6, chrysler a904 3 speed automatic tranny, and np207 t-case. Anyone know if this t-case will bolt up to a Aisin-warner 4 speed automatic in a 1993 cherokee with a 4.0? Got parts to build a stroker for the 4.0 but dont see any need for building a stroker for a 2 wheel drive. Thanks for any help.

Why do that when you could could go get a 231 or 242 tcase? i mean you'll have to go get a front axle and drive shaft anyways. Thats just my .02 cents.

X2, the AW4 is considerably longer than your 904, so your defintely gonna need new driveshafts.
