4.7l Blown Stroker build (planning stage need help)

Hey all, I Have been planning on doing a 96 4.7 Blown Stroker and am going to try and acheive around 500hp, I was wondering if there is anyone on this board who has done a SuperCharged stroker whom I could seek advice? The purpose of this motor is going to be mainly for Mud and high throttle fun, i have done quite a bit of research and have found little concrete answers specifiacally for my build plans so I have a few questions...
1. I would like the motor rev quicky, does the strength of the 12cw crankshaft outweigh the benefits from the lighter 4cw, basically the 12cw will rev slower than the 4cw, but is the 12cw really that much stronger?
2. If i am not mistaken, in supercharged applications you really want a lower compression ratio say around an 8:1, what pistons would most of you recomend, as far as flat topped or dished?
4. I was wondering if there is anyone on this board who has done a SuperCharged stroker whom I could seek advice?
3. Any other advice.
Sorry for the newbness

On the crank I would consider a 4cw IF I were going to keep the R's under 5500 or so. Otherwise I would go 12cw.

X2 on the 4CW crank, and you will def. want to run lower compression to avoid detonation. 1-1/2 a point below what you would normally run would be a good starting point. Custom forged pistons would be the best, and only way I would go with a supercharger. Then you can get the exact comp. ratio that you want and they are forged to hold up to the abuse better. Diamond and Ross are the only 2 I know of that make custom forged pistons for the I6.

Well, I am definately planning on staying below 5500rpm's as I would like this motor to stay in one piece and last a while especially with how much I am going to put into it, so I am definately going to look for a 4cw which will also allow me to use the same length nose on the crank shaft as what i have now =)
Ok, so if i am not mistaken, the higher my quench height, and the deeper the dish, the lower my compresion, correct?
Also any sugestions on camshaft specs, I am planning on using roller rockers (also which ones are recomended)?
And again, is there anyone on this board that has done something similar to this before?

take a look at turbo toms build. i know your wanting to go SC but the block and head prep could be similar. and he's getting that power with less cubic inches.

As far as the rockers go, I would recomend the Harland Sharp pedistal rockers, the make adjustable and non adjustable.

Personally I would go with the 12 counter crank unless you will be retaining a rev limiting device.
how much boost are you planning to add?
Ported head my be a good thing to add to your plan with boost as the equation.

What are you planning to use for a supercharger?
Just curious because I have been tossing some thoughts around trying this.

I am planning on running a turbo 350 or 400 tranny, I know my current rev limit is 5200rpm (close enough)
I was planning a port and polish on the head.
I am looking into Kenne Belles super charger at 8.5psi boost, they have the best numbers and seem to be really high quality, I need to find some sort of intercooler though

Good choice-I've read all good about Kenne Belle.

I have been researching into TurboToms set up, I have also been wanting to remove the factory ECM and put in a standalone system, are there any thoughts on any systems out there.
Also with doing roller rockers, I know I am going to need new springs and seats, what are some recomendations on size and spring rate, ive been doing a lot of looking around at different manufacturers and just wondering what everyone else is using as the possibilities are endless.

I hope you already have a line on one because Kennebell doesn't produce new ones anymore...
Look into adventure innovations and RIPP. Both good systems but they are centrifugal not roots type.

Avenger is the only other roots type blower that I know of for a Jeep and it's intercooled. VRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!

So far I have not been successful in getting any information about the Avenger setup. You can download the installation instructions, but they are quite vague for instructions.
It looks to me like you will need to figure out all the injection stuff on you own as the Avenger is just the charger/intercooler and drive system.
Seams like alot of $ when you have to figure in a boost compensated fuel injection system. You may not need it with a supercharger vice the Turbo, but it's something to keep in mind.
