Emissions testing

Post by offrd3 »

Has anyone taken their stroker through emissions testing where they plug into your computer or where they take a tail pipe reading if so was the reading they took close to a stock 4.0l. my problem is i live in New Jersey and they plug right into the computer and check everything that way so their really strict. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Mine's coming up in a month and a half. In MD, obd2 vehicles get plugged in, so anything that causes a cel will make it fail. My aux fan mod(switchable ground to relay) used to set a cel before the unichip install. Strokers might have a little more emissions, but should still fall w/in 4.0 specs.
