Does an Adjustable MAP Work for a TJ / OBDII?

Something has me thinking that the adjustable MAP is only good for an OBD I system. Is this Iraq sun finally starting to cook my brain or am I correct in saying this? I'm trying to figure out if an adjustable MAP will help me out on my TJ.
