When you start it, you have to give it a little gas, it runs fine until below 1200 rpm then it just wants to die. Could a vacuum leak cause this, should I check to make sure the intake bolts are tight? I'm lost when it comes to adjustments, so any help is appreciated.

I actually drove it a little, it has some balls! It can spin the tires easy! I'm excited to get everything dialed in.

Usually a vacuum leak will cause a high idle situation. Did you check the IAC pintle and throttle body to make sure they are clean and the pintle isnt sticking?

it mysteriously works now! it runs great just a little hot, runs at about 220, maybe 230, is this normal? And it seems the rev limiter lets it only go to about 4600 rpm, how can I raise that?

Sounds like the PCM needed to learn. If you want to up the rev limiter contact Nick at [email protected]. He supplies PCM mods. The temp will be higher on a fresh engine too. As parts wear in it will decrease.

I drove it more, and it actually cuts out at 4000 rpm. They said there might not be much they can do to reprogram it. The check engine light is on, maybe there is a sensor that doest let the engine go over 4,000 rpm or something (I dont know) Please help, I want to see what this baby can do over 4,000 haha!

I ebay listing said they are ford 24lbs blue top injectors, but I guess you never really know what your getting from ebay. Maybe I'll try the stock injectors. Would it work on a 4.6?

Pull the engine code and see what it is, it might point you in a direction. I think you have a sensor issue. I have ran stock injectors on a stroker and never had it cut out like that. It will run lean in WOT unless you do some sort of MAP sensor mod or a piggy back. Do your injectors have a part number on them?

Pulling codes, is that something I could do myself? And the numbers on the injectors are:
F1TE D5A

I looked it up and they are 24lbs injectors. If I had a sensor issue, what sensor would it be?

You should be good with those injectors. The most likely sensors are the TPS and/or MAP. It could also be a coil. As for the codes from the engine lights, it would help to know what year you have.

Do a search on Naxja or the like for a key on- key off method for getting the codes from your Jeep.

Ok, I pulled the codes, and it came up with 2 codes, 15 and 13, which are:

13 No difference recognized between the engine MAP reading and the barometric (atmosphere) pressure reading from start-up.
15 No vehicle speed sensor signal detected during road load conditions.

I'm not sure what this means, can anyone decipher it?
