Your part suppliers...
I haven't really seen one of these threads on any other forum and I know I have some pretty good part sources and the same for some of you. I'll leave the suppliers not to use for another thread... maybe...
[email protected] -- mainly ZJ, WJ and 5.9L parts, but has some nice parts for XJ and 4.0L. I got my Addco sway bar from him, my lift kit, my OME shocks (which I love), JKS quick disconnects, the Thorley header, WJ ARB bumper, and a lot of other parts. Good guy to work with and you always talk to him directly. And he owns a mythical moded out 5.9.
Iron Rock Offroad http://ironrockoffroad.com -- I haven't bought much from these guys aside from adjustable upper control arms and a tie rod. Their prices are very competitive and I liked the parts I received. While the control arms weren't on par with RE (larger threads), they did have a second offset hole drilled on the axle side to combat this so I see it as a non issue. I also called them on a Sunday expecting to leave a voice mail and there was actually some one there to talk to.
Falcon Global http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/falconglobal/ -- I purchased most of my stroker parts from then aside from the pistons and while they aren't ones for talking they do have very good prices.
Silblade http://www.silblade.com/ -- Silicon wiper blades. They really do last 5 years. They cost a bit more, but do the math. And they have a 5 year warranty.
Northern Auto Parts www.northernautoparts.com -- Cheapest price I found on both versions of the lifter bore grooving tool.
Leigh Performance Machine http://www.strokedjeep.com/ -- I purchased my bored throttle body from him. Cheap and fast. I don't mean to undermine Oleshot in any way which does the same service plus piston dishing, but I purchased teh TB before I known of Oleshot's services.
Genuine Dealz http://genuinedealz.com/ -- cheap marine battery cable
Daniel stern lighting http://danielsternlighting.com -- Cibie head lamps, world of lighting knowledge. I love my Cibies.
Hesco http://www.hesco.us -- Prices aren't the cheapest but if you need support for said part they are good.
Porterfield brakes http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/ -- I have worked with these people for years. Good brake products and they do cryo tempering as well.
Kevin's offroad aka. kevin's jeep parts -- http://www.kevinsoffroad.com/ - Another small company. I purchased my rock rails from him.
Jeepin Outfitters http://jeepinoutfitters.com/scripts/default.asp -- Run by Jason.. don't recall what I purchased from him but he also runs a pretty decent forum
DPG Off road http://www.dpgoff-road.com/ -- Yet another small company. Purchased my CSF rad from him.
Denny's Drive Shaft http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/ -- After fooling with a well know competitor's half-assed balancing attempts on their drive shafts I talked to Denny and received two 100% balanced drive shafts... after driving around for 2 years on unbalanced shafts these perfectly balanced shafts (NO vibes what so ever) made me love my XJ again.
And of course I have used Jegs and Summit racing for other parts.. not the cheapest prices but never had a problem with them.
And we can't forget about ebay.. while not one supplier I have scored several deals on there.. latest of which was an S&B CAI for only $99.
I'll add more later as time goes on...

My contributions -
http://www.car-part.com - Online junkyard. Search for year make model and part and you'll get hits from across the country. Got my 99 intake for $50 shipped from the site.
http://www.fastengineparts.com - Used them to purchase my ARP rod bolts for my stroker.
http://www.monicattichrysler.com/comers ... cindex.asp - Same as Jeep connection, but generally cheaper prices. I Saved money on having them ship my pilot bearing and pushrods rather than just driving to my local dealership. They send you a nice calender when you order, too.
www.partsamerica.com - Advance Auto's parts website. Beats driving down the road when I just need a quick price. Can also compare part numbers etc..

97 XJ 4.6
90 MJ 4.0 - sold
I want to have as many Jeeps as children. DD, offroader, drag MJ and another one. 4=4

Re: Your part suppliers...
www.rockauto.com A good site for stock replacement parts. I rebuilt most of my D30 with parts from there. The one thing you need to look out for is which warehouses the parts are shipping from. When I did my order it had to ship from two locations so my total shipping price came out higher because the parts were shipped from two locations.
Engine related parts I get from work, we have accounts with most manufactureres and parts warehouses.

i think rockauto is a great site for almost any vehicle. even the amc crowd over at the eagle nest (the 4x4 car!) love rock auto for stock replacement parts.

Some prefered vendors
Over the years i find myself using the same vendors, they generally have the best price and service. here are a few of my favorites.
#1 Rock Auto http://www.rockauto.com Car parts of all kinds. Good prices fast service, somtimes the shipping charges are a little high, make sure you check befor placing you order
#2 Radiator Barn http://www.radiatorbarn.com/ Radiators. Great price, usually next day delivery
#3 Enco http://www.use-enco.com machine shop stuff, taps drills whatever
#4 Car-part http://www.car-part.com finds junkyard parts Great service.
#5 Precision engine, Cheap crank kits http://www.precisionengine.com/crank-kits/
Speed parts, I think everybody knows Jegs and Summit, but the two companies below have some special parts you won't find at the big stores.
Pegasas Racing http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/
Speedway motors http://www.speedwaymotors.com
Crankshafts, Custom and Billet.
Castillo's Crankshaft
1465 1/2 Firestone Blvd.
La Mirada, Ca. 90638
(714) 523-0321 Contact: Joe
They do crank welding, offset grinding, repair etc. They do not do balancing. Prices are reasonable, but it may take a few weeks to get a crank done.
Moldex Crankshafts
Detroit area
(303) 561-7676
Contact: Bob or Whitie
Moldex is famous for Billet cranks, deliveries are long and prices are high, but then again, where else can you get a billet crank for your jeep?
Engine build shops:
Hesco http://www.hesco.us
Birmgham,AL High Quality, Expensive
LAM engines http://lamengines.com/
Local shop in the Chicago area I use. Reasonable prices, Quality work, don't expect it fast.
Custom Camshafts
Cam Craft http://www.camcraftcams.com
Ask fro Charles. Great guy very knowedagble. Prices are reasionable, willing to work with you on anything.
Custom Headers
Kromer Kraft http://www.kromerkraft.com/
They don't answer their phone, but they do great work, fair prices. Long lead times. Located in eastern Ohio.
SPD http://www.spdexhaust.com/
Great source for header parts and they will also do custom headers Located in Rancho Cordova, Ca.
Wiring stuff for your Jeep
Waytec wire http://www.waytekwire.com
Will sell small quanities, good prices, fast delivery
I don't really have a source for body parts or lift kits and that type of things, maybe somebody else does.

I just ran across these guys www.cnc-motorsports.com. Thier prices on crower aluminum and stainless roller rockers for the Jeep 6 are better than jegs or summit.

Re: Some prefered vendors
Depending on what you need
1-Nick aka Kolak. He's been great to me in the past mostly regarding Mopar performance parts but is also fairly knowledgeable concerning lifts.
2-FullsizeXJ (http://www.fullsizexjgear.com/Products.html). He has great prices and gives discounts to JF and MallCrawlin members.
3-JCR Offroad. Local shop here in MI specializing in Jeeps, particularly axles and suspension.
4-Rockauto
5-Dirk, amsoil rep. (www.4x4oil.com)
pretty much anyone else who's listed as a vendor on this page:
