The guys over at http://www.Bulltear.com are thinking about tooling for forged L6 pistons. Piston specs as well as price look pretty good to me. These guys have a great rep in the AMC V8 world and have made a ton of great custom parts in that arena for a long time. Details here:

Price is good. And from that thread it will be nearly a 100% custom piston. Plus it looks like they do 100% AMC. While I already have the KB944s I would have liked a piston with lower pin, or a piston for the Eagle rod or some other forged rod. This won't be my last Jeep nor last stroker, so they will be a good option for my next engine.

I haven't been over to "BULLTEAR" in months, seems all they want to do over there is stroke 304's and 360's instead of going and getting a 401????, and setting them up for drag racing/mud bogging?????

I sent them an email at 8pm and at 9:40pm i receive this reply:
These pistons would cover all the bases and because the forging would allow for extra material we could make the pin height anywhere and give you any choice of compression.

Hey folks, Forged pistons for the 258, 232 and 4.0ltr

Post by Jeepsr4ever »

Well we are thinking about a custom forge tool for a inline 6 piston. This would cover 258, 232 and 4.0ltr engines. The price per set would be $475 shipped (pistons with pins) and we could tailor size and compression needed. Any takers? We have solely been a high performance AMC V8 shop but are now switching to support the 6 cylinders. We will be bringing a product line over to the 6's and this ...hopefully will be one of them.

This site looks like a great source for info on the 6 strokers!

Glad to be aboard!!

Any other products you plan on offering for the 4.0L/stroker?

If all goes well a billet crank, billet rods, bottom girdle for the main caps and cnc ported heads. How much power do you need? :) We have a bunch of these that are getting setup for cnc porting and plan on porting six cylinder heads in the next couple of months. :rockout:

Will this be available in say 4.145" stroke?
