Post by StroktWJ »

Does anyone know what lbs injectors are in the 03-04 Marauder? I don't have the part number handy right now, and I have googled it. I come up with no good info  ..

Probably 24lb/hr but what about spray angle and orientation, number of beam, spray type, spray distribution???
Injector flow is only one of many characteristics you should consider when upgrading. A mismatch can cost dearly.

Spray distribution (area, spray amount):
12°-24°¤>40%
8°-20°¤>30%
4°-20°¤>35%
0°-8°¤>50%
These are some examples, design by the intake ports shape they intended to and air velocity. Too wide and you will wash the ports, too narrow will yield insufficient atomization..

Spray angle alfa-80 is the cone characteristic, can be 12°, 15°, 20° or else.

The Neon injectors are perfect fit. the spray distribution is a match (8°-24°¤>42%) to the 4.0L ports. Spray angle is 25°, orientation is 0 and one beam.

Cheap as a used set but way expensive as new than those injectors you can buy from the known injectors shops.

0280155710 the Ford yellow 210cc retail price is $60, Rockauto.com.
0280155703 Neon injector retail price is $112, Rockauto.com.

price for one injector.

Those Neon injectors also don't have the EV6 connector, so one would also have to factor in the prices for the EV1 pigtail or EV6 to EV1 adapter if your current injectors are the old style.

Coas, what info do you have on the Bosch 0280155865 injector?

The later Neon injectors, 97-99, 0280155784, are with USCAR plug. Same spec as 0280155703.
But, I don't see why later models with EV6 or EV12 injectors need switching injectors unless need more flow. For these there are the 99 Taurus injectors 0280155849.

Note, those injectors are for stock 4.0L or slightly modified. Not for strokers. For a stroker use 0280155715 out of 96-98 Taurus/Sable.

0280155865 is a ~255cc/min injectors/24lb/hr with 2 beam at 20°.
Spray orientation angle 90°
Spray distribution 8°-20°¤>40%
length 74mm
USCAR plug
Used in 01-04 Mustang Cobra and Mach 1
