the cam sensor won't do you any good. Its just controls fuel synch. As I said in the previous post, those ar ethe only way to get what you want. And I an sure Titan didn't build your engine specially for you.

Adjusting the cam sensor will change your injector timing and is worth checking, insure the distributor is properly indexed with a aftermarket camshaft. A very small timing change can be made by slotting the tabs on a crankshaft sensor. My motor in the YJ has the cam advanced 1 degree with a custom timing gear set. I think 2 degree increment gear sets will serve well for most and don't think most engines will show much for a 1 degree change, but this one did. Dialing that cam timing is a powerful tool for tuning the power band. Tuning the cam sensor is a matter of getting it right.

I i have no way of figureing out my A/F ratio. I have herd of people using the LM-1 innovative motorsports wideband recorder. Im just wondering what are the benifits of this and is it worth it?? What kinda of stuff can I tune with it?

You use the wideband o2 to monitor the afr ratios and then tune a stand-alone(megasquirt), a piggy-back(a'pexi, split second), or even an adjustable map based on the readings.

the pinging more when the motor is hot wouldn't be from any MAP sensor problems related to heat...BUT with heat, metal expands. cool it and it contracts. so, if your intake/exhaust manifold flanges are corroded cracked or otherwise damaged, when they get hot they will expand and cause a gap to occur between them and the head. this could result in intake of air through that spot (which would cause pinging because of an incorrect fuel/air mix ratio), or exhaust of air (which could cause pinging by causing your 02 sensors think it's running lean)

you say you're running stock manifolds....

what injectors are you running? this is out of my realm of knowledge, but i DO know that stock injectors with a stroker are not gonna cut it.

forgive me if this is a dumb question, but how do you intend to adjust the cps? without modifying it's mounts you are not going to be able to adjust it...it has but two bolt holes and they're not slotted.

I was a manager of an Auto Value store when they came out with that idea, Its a real cool thing. All they do is get your vin # run it through Chrysler's database and see if there is any re-flashes available for it. (updates from Chrysler) Same thing a dealership or local tech shop could do for you. The Auto Value option is just cheaper i believe.

Unless they totally erase your PCM all it does is a factory update... Nothing that makes it a bad idea. A lot of times that can fix goofy little PCM controlled issues. Example: Torque Converter shudder, harsh shifting.... And the list could go on. Also on the other hand you may not have any updates available for it. Its worth it. If I had that new of a Jeep, (that my beautiful wife would actually let me touch!!!) I would do it.

I recommend that on ANY manifold/header to use a RemFlex gasket. Check out their website. They are SLICK! NO MORE LEAK OR NOISE!
