mines going great now that i figured out all the bugs and found the wiring diagram issues in the jeep books....jeep designed the wiring harness but had the fsm and the haynes/chilton books labeled wrong and it caused some issues. i'm still trying to tune to it but have it driveable and the damn thing kicks much ass. i'm really happy with both the motor and the megasquirt 3

What about the Painless system for the earlier vehicles?

Got mine up & running with the MS3Pro-- what a great system. It works well with the OBD1 sensor set. I was even able to loose the dizzy and go with a generic distributorless ignition.

I am having a bit of trouble getting the IAC to work. Not sure if I am missing a crucial step or if it is on their end. I am sending it back to them for the second time, for repair.

Besides all that-- this turbo setup has basicly doubled the HP & torque outputs with 6PSI of boost (see link in signature). I can pull the steepest hills on the interstate at 70MPH, in overdrive, with 37" Krawlers and 4.10 gears. Mission accomplished! :rockout:

The MS3Pro is wonderful-- It also has a 'tune while you drive' application that got me 95% of the way to an ideal tune. My tuner had very little work once we got it on the dyno.

not sure. The IAC circuit in the MS3Pro burned out. It did again after I got it back, in about an hour. MegaSquirt is as puzzled as I am. They are taking it pretty seriously. Just mailed it back to them on Saturday. Not sure what is up, but I am more than happy to switch to some other IAC format, if need be. I am using a hand throttle for now. It works, but it will be nice to have something I don't have to fiddle with.

What IAC are/were you having?

Getting there with the MS3 tune. Finally got the IAC issues figured out -- had to get some help from others who are running MS3 on a 4.0. Link to MS thread
