MY cam is an Isky #133128. Advertised #'s 280 Dur .467 Lift. I have been playing with desktop dyno. The numbers look really good, but I will have to see the real Dyno numbers before I start jumping up and down. I chose this cam because I have had good results in the past, we will see.
The head is getting an upgrade. After searching for valve springs, checking installed heights and just trying to sort it all out, the owner of the shop I work with brought out a new set of 2.02 / 1.570 LS1 race valves, Beehive springs and titainium retainers and said "Here you can have these if they will work".!!!!. Thanks Chris. Needless to say the head is going back under the cutters.
Steve and I split a 50 gallon drum of E-85 fuel for........$46.25 each!
I will be getting a set of 75 Lb/Hr injectors soon
A new 46mm 12 PSI waste gate is on the way also.
Thanks also to Sixpak for all his help.

No problem Tom, just take out 5 lbs of boost when it comes the end of May that way I have a chance!

No way Six-Pak...You know too much...I'm just trying to catch up!
Small update: Engine is coming along, but have been tied up on other projects and converting my CNC router to cut alum.
Here are a few pics.
First is a valley cover for a Dart Billet LS-1 block, I did for Fletcher Made Horsepower.
Second is a water pump block off plate I just made for my competition

I like the way you think! I have a stand alone Painless Performance Hi-torque engine management system and couldn't believe the increase in power. To actually tune the FI system to the motor is good for 30-50 HP. I massaged the ports, valve springs and roller rockers, opened up the exhaust and it was a screamer. Not a stroker, but same ideas. My car would walk all over my buddies HESCO 4.7 with the stock computer and HESCO chip. I finally melted it down after 2 years of jeepspeed racing on a stock bottom end out of a 100,000 mile car. Round two has begun.

jeepinscott are saying that the tune made a 30-50 horse difference on top of the port polish and cam or is that all together?

Thanks Jeepin.
Got the head cut for the LS1 springs and seals. Installed height is 1.720" 130# on the seat right at 300# over the nose on my .467 lift cam.
Honed the rods out to float the pins with a clearance of .0006" - .0007"
Piston pin clearance is .0005"
The pistons are for pressed pins so I went with teflon pin buttons.
Got the pin buttons done today. Had to grind a cutting bit to match the bore diameter.
Set them around .005" clearance. They look tall in the pics because of the way the pistons are laying.
There is a .250" deep "spud" that fits inside the pin and the large OD is .003" smaller than the pin.
Simple EH?

What connecting rods are you using?

The stock ones from my 2000 engine, with ARP bolts.

umm so a cam button keeps the cam from moving in the block. so a piston button keeps the pin in the piston and keeps the pin centered in the bore? so that you can run a floating pin set up???

Yes. I made a post in off topic (I think) about something similar that I saw in my boss' air plane engine. I thought it was a pretty neat design. If I had seen it sooner I would have talked to my machinist about it on my engine.

Got the engine off the dyno at 1 am yesterday.
13 Lbs of boost on E-85, 500 ft lbs at 4300 rpm and 450 HP at 5800 rpm. Needs more throttle body area. Ran it for over 4 hours on the dyno, so I would say she's tuff.
I am in the midst of a great flog to get to GAD (Great AMC Day ) at national trails friday, Will post more later.
Sorry no video, This thrash to race the car this weekend has me whipped.
It's 2:30 AM and I just came in from the garage.
