Potentially looks like a good alternative to the Mopar spring/retainer combination with stock Jeep valves. Seat and nose pressures look good.

Keep us posted.

Will do russ.
Can anyone confirm the angle on the 1991 locks? The "8*" mopar performance locks fit like butt, but the stock ones seem right. Could the early 4.0 valve trains be 7*? ill have some LS 8mm 7* ls locks in my hand tomorrow ill see if they change the height or anything with fitment. I know Russ said he didnt like the LS locks with hemi retainers but they might work with the 7* lunati keepers (75761-1). Ill Keep yall posted. THX ALL

not trying to be a post whore, but im not sure how do edit my prior post.
ive found that 1998 and older heads used a 7* keeper and im guessing when they switched to 3 groove it changes to the 8*. Im not quite clear as to why mopar performance would sell the single groove 8* keepers
the stock chrysler part number is 33003521 which crosses to a crown # 33003521 (same) and to a sealed power #VK216 (7* in description)
so to sum it up
pre 98 used 7* locks 33003521
pre 98 retainers ? cant find part number

post 98 used 3 groove 8* keepers 53010515AA
post 98 retainers 53010514AA
