I tried to follow the thread to figure out what you are building.. im not sure if i got it right as it seemed you were flopping back and forth with the mini stroker vs 4.6 route.. here is what i have for you:
Mini Stroker bored .060 over
3.500 stroke
3.935 bore
62cc chambers (did you actually check this or is it calculated?)
-.012 deck clearance
.051 head gasket
H825cp Pistons with 15.2cc dish
Stock 4.0 rods @ 6.123 inches
Comp 68-232-4 Camshaft
Running at sea level
All above equals:
CI = 255.39
Litres = 4.19
SCR = 9.15
DCR = 7.8
Quench = .039
IVCA = 55
Please see attached Print of calculated results.

Thanks maud dib and yes you hit it on those nos as far as what I'm building. The only thing that will change is a .043 head gasket. And possibly the cam to a crane 753905 I believe it is?
The chambers with he cupped shaped ls1 valves will add volume, but yes we will make certain the chambers are around 62cc or slightly bigger depending on final compression ratio.
EDIT: saw the pdf on the bottom of your post but cant seem to download it?

Alright guys I promised pics of the head porting....bear with me as my iPad seems to not take the greatest pictures.
I've got about 2 hours in at this point, just roughing things in place. Also not gasket matching yet as my gasket & intake manifold are in the mail

so runners and chambers only.
Before

Lots of roughness and ridges
After just using bur at this point
Just those few as I hate this dam iPad camera.
Some questions now. On the SSR, should I be flowing the edges I guess you could say?
(Upside down but straight view) there's a ledge on the right side of the intact port not very big but a ledge there..should I blend that in, how the runner curves?

Yes, Just smooth everything out, removing any sharp spots. Don't change the shape of the SSR too much. Of course its ok to change the guide shape, make it more tear drop like.

Sounds good. I think I. Did pretty well on my. Intake guides but kinda flopped on the exhaust guides, rounded them a bit much I think. Ill post pics in a minute, not too much but more than I wanted to I should say.
Using a bur with a 6" shank, so all the exhausts were hard to get at....should of never got a 6" one lol. Gonna end up cutting mine down to 3" or so.
My intake will be here the 31st then I can truly start, I'm just kinda cleaning things up at this point.

Im sorry I didn't update this with pictures. Ill get some from russ, got under a steep time constraint.
Anyway ill be looking to run the crane 905/901. Was told they were the same? Vs the comp 232. Motors going to be used as a mild jeepspeed but will still be daily driven and need to be smog able in California. 3.73 gears, 33x10.5 and a ax15/np242. 2000+- cruise on the highway.
Maybe advice on a more preferable cam/compression ratio? I wanna keep the motor happy on 87 or at least shoot for that.
Here's what I've got so far and finalizing parts now will be it whatever I have is what ill end up with so trying to get it right.
Mini Stroker bored .060 over
3.500 stroke
3.935 bore
62cc chambers (chambers will figure the compression, pistons staying at 15.2cc. So bigger or smaller for desired compression)
-.012 deck clearance
.043 head gasket
H825cp Pistons with 15.2cc dish
Stock 4.0 rods @ 6.123 inches
Crane 752905/901 Camshaft installed at -2* or even 0 if its more preferable powerband wise?
Running at sea level with temps of 115* in summer.
I can't get the calculator to work for me tonight on either the iPad or desktop. So what's my compression with specs above? And again I'm very open to suggestions on cams and final compression. Just wanna keep it capable of 87 year round of possible.
Valve size was 1.54 and 1.95" I believe as well. Head was ported pretty decently russ is going to touch it all up for me and blend the bowls.

Edit: gears are 4.10s that makes 2300-2400rpm cruise with 33s and a 5 speed. Can anyone suggest a cam that'd best suit my needs? Daily driver, mild jeepspeed with a 2300 rpm cruise. I'm very open to suggestions, no preferences here. Daily driver will haul probably 1000-1500lbs once or twice a month.
I would really prefer a custom grind with wide lobe or a wide lobe cam like the mopar or something. Anyway I'm days away from finalizing parts, any help is greatly appreciated!
What's your opinion on a comp 231 ground at 113LSA?
I get 9.34 static and 8.00 dynamic vs with the comp 232 which gives 9.34 static and 7.89 dynamic, and from everything read gives a broader torque curve which is what I'm after I think.
And the last thing I was curious about was the single vs dual roller timing kit. Russ stated he's been having good luck with the single setup, basically stock replacement. But here I've seen people breaking them and everyone recommends a dual? Let me know guys.

Compression now 9.34/7.8..Quench is .031. Hoping I can pull of 87oct?
So now.. Can any tip me on gears here, we are looking at the cruising rpm mainly, and how well its matched to my motor for efficiency. Comp 232 cam after all. I did pick up 4.10s already but can return and exchange for 4.56s at will.
Looking what cruise rpm will give me the best mileage.
33x10.5s, ax15, 4.10s = 2140rpm at 65mph
33x10.5s, ax15, 4.56s = 2380rpm at 65mph
What is best option here guys? What's better suited to my 4.2l with the specs above. 4.10 or 4.56?
