dwg86,
How about a link or e-mail, to the guy that you have been taking to a KB, so we can ask, and encourage it along instead of pestering you :D

By the way have you heard any thing else?.......

Looks like I am not the only one getting itchy scratchy waiting to see their offering, getting ready to start prepping a set of 4.0 rods myself.

I called and talked to a tech at kb yesterday. He said still 3 to 4 weeks out. They will be forged. They are making 2 different compression rations 10:1 and 9:1, using the 4.0 rod.

. . so you know which one I'll be considering. I can wait another month, but I plan to start putting it together the first or second week of May. I'll have the head almost done in 2 weeks(except for the rocker arms because of the possibility that I might use the 4.2 rods and deck the block and have to use shims). It would be nice to have a ballpark figure on the price of these forged pistons even if they won't be ready for a month, so I can lock the choice in. Edit: I just crunched some #s in the calc and it looks like a 18-19cc and 28-29cc dish for those ratios.

I asked about a price. He said he didn't know, but it would be cheaper than having a custom set made. I also asked who we would by them thru. He said Jegs, Summit, Hesco, and some other company that makes Jeep stoker kits. I can't remember...maybe RPM Machine?

How many people are considering these? Is it worth asking KB for a group discount if we can deal with them direct and skip the middleman markup?

Iam quite interested, depending on the final specifications.
