Congrats on getting it fixed. It appears most initial problems after a new engine build are the fault of an incorrectly indexed distributor or cam sensor.

As as for the Unichip issue, 92tank is correct. If the engine wasn't running correctly to begin with they would have had problems tuning it. I would let them have another try and ask if they could possibly give you some form of a discount. Unfortunately it isn't something you can tune yourself and you need a Unichip distributor to write the program for it. If you do take it back to Unichip and they can't tune it correctly I would talk to Hesco about it and see if they could write a program for you. Of course they would charge you for it, but since they know more about the stroker than anyone else they could probably get it closer than anyone without actually using a dyno.

Well, to clarify my point, UniChip "tuned" the last build when it had the long rods, Lunati cam, and the KB944's. It ran about as good as it's running right now when I took it to them. The issue is that it was tuned using the same method then. As I understand it, you can't correctly tune using an after cat probe and especially if it is goin' down the road. I've heard that road tuning is preferable to the dyno, but in this case that creates reversion in the exhaust that adds oxygen to the already after-cat mix. So, it has been tuned by the same incorrect method TWO times. I understand that you need to use a wideband. I always thought it seemed like it was running rich on the last build and I wasn't ever to notice any SIGNIFICANT difference after the chip install. I'm gonna' try to negotiate with them.
