Yes I will start off with water/meth injection. Seems to be the trend latley, and I have read of some pretty impressive temp drops.
A 35-50 hp shot of N20 is not out of the question either.

I may "Try my luck at the Duck" down your way sometime also.
Trying to gather money right now for some custom forged pistons.

I think you will like the results of the water/meth as far a assisting with temp reduction, not a end all, but a darn good tool.

i wonder if theres a way to cool the air going into our engines, even if were not running a turbo (besides water or meth injection). a guy i met once had this idea about using CO2 to cool an intake pipe. is this a viable option?

I would use your A/C system as an intercooler. Save the planet man!! :banana:

It might not last too long, but what about building a box around the air tube and filling it with dry ice?

I've used these guys on turbo apps. before. When there isn't enough room for a air to air they work great sound cool to.

man it's a small world, I was looking at those guys website yesterday... the cheatah thing turned me off so much that I have a hard time not believing they are a bunch of quacks. The flowducer I suspect is pure :bs: Nicely packaged exhaust "tornado" that makes noise, and I'd guess nothing more.

Ice water intercoolers are commonplace at the drag strip, the Cryfuzion interfeezer does not look terribly efficient as far as intercoolers go, and the small tubes inside it present a flow restriction that I can pretty much guarantee will lower the air flow through your system. Just look at that Mistu in the pick. The "freezer" is only a little bit larger than the stock plumbing, and it's filled with small aluminum tubes that don't have a radiused inlet, and are kept in place by a flat circle of metal.

i think the idea is dead on for what i was thinking. however, im not sure, like 1bolt, how well this particular product would work. still very cool though, pair the freezer tube with the "jet" for the outside for a neat effect! (my original plan, before i knew about this)

This extreme cooling effect not only cools the air, thereby creating more horsepower, but it also dries it. Moisture is removed from the air as it enters the motor, which, in turn increases burn rate.
Confusing.. they say it dries the air.. so where does the water go? I doubt there is some sort of drain, and it can't be expelled with the CO2.. so it must just freeze on the piper or what ever the CO2 is run through.

Might be good for a 1/4 mile, but I think that frozen water on the intake would lead to problems in a longer run.

yep that too, the only way it "dries" the air is condensing the water vapor as ice crystals... which will flow right into the combustion chambers and melt, leaving you with the exact same moisture level inside the chamber as the air would have been in the first place, except now, instead of sucking humid air through the intake tract, you're sucking ice crystals which take up more volume than water vapor, displacing air. Add that to the restriction of the small aluminum tubes and flat plate that holds them being 90* to the direction of flow with no radius, and I'm betting the effect is a wash.

If the thing wasn't so obviously a flow restriction the idea would be fine, use a real (efficient) bar and plate intercooler that does not have a significant pressure drop at the outlet...

Good update!!! The new Diamond pistons came from Hesco today!!!
Here is a link to the first dyno pull that cracked 2 of the stock pistons and shoved the 60,000 mile head gasket out.
Made 465ft lbs and 395HP at 4500 before the carnage, completely stock engine internals.

I was still mapping the fuel system and workin through some boost problems when it got "breathy". So there was no complete dyno run to speak of. But the peak numbers were correct.
Don't worry I will post the graph when testing is done. :banana:
Started porting the head today, and getting the next assault ready. :mrgreen:
