Still trying to figure out how you can make the 3 and 4 flow like 1/2 and 5/6 when the center plenum is so much closer.
I mean I know it could be done but not sure if it`s the right way.

I mean the simple answer is fluid dynamics. That's the whole point of the redesign. I think you guys are still stuck on thinking how a jeep manifold looks. I'm thinking a complete redesign that looks like this.

The shape of the plenum will give the equal cylinder distribution, then with it being modular I can offer multiple runner length options, or still try and work a dual runner design.

The only problem I see with putting the throttle body there is the throttle body cables (throttle, TV cable, and cruise cable). I don't think the stock ones have enough reach to go there.
However, a longer cable kit might be an idea.
I also think there should be an option for mounting a different throttle body. If longer/different cables are needed then perhaps a stock WJ 4.7L throttle body could be an option without modifying the cable mounting situation. Or relocate the IAC and find something else that is relatively cheap.

I have the software to do the fluid dynamics. We could run with the modular design and make the throttle flange bolt on then we can choose which TB flange you want

the ability to bolt a heat shield on to separate the intake from the exhaust would be nice.

Thats looks like it would produce way more hp than any jeep I6 intake I ever saw. Perhaps something with slightly longer runners like this(that's not angled down obviously) with a nice wide plenum upfront for easy room to manufacture the power steering bracket. Single or dual plane depending what people want although a large single makes way more sense for simplicity. It would also provide plenty of room for the exhaust manifold heat to vent and make the intake and exhaust manifold bolts much easier to get to.mountaineerjeff wrote:I mean the simple answer is fluid dynamics. $/HP might not make it worth what it cost. Kinda like the Edel head I feel. But I bought the Edel head cause I like bling also.
In my case I might go $450-550 depending on what else was needed to make it "bolt on" and if it really was an improvement of power. Of course tuning and such I would expect to be separate.

$550 seems legitimate if it is cleary designed for a stroker/mid-higher rpms like larger cross area runners AND a large plenum. My opinion is anything you would make that's similar to either factory manifold design and intended usage for a stock 4.0 or low rpm torque would be a waste of time and money. Another thing is aren't there different power steering pumps and brackets? Perhaps design the manifold for one setup that bolts up easily to save costs if it would be a production thing. Either to fit the cheapest or most popular setup that was put on stock 4.0s. Or design it to work with the adjustable pump and bracket(1991-1995?) so people can adjust their belt that way if they wanted and give them more options on deleting pulleys and belt routing.

If the price is over double that I think those of us that want one bad enough would just get a 91-98 intake manifold and use those runners as the base and weld our own up.

That's one of the reasons we don't have a ton of cool stuff, or the are so many setups that are NLA.
However I do feel like I I've realistic goals of selling 10 at around $1,000 a piece. Then being able to drop the price as orders increase. But even at a grand that doesn't leave any profit margin at all. That's literally just near production Costs so the only thing I can do to lower it, to make more
