Thanks for the update She Said,

More feedback with your update would be helpful.
Can you confirm your static is 10.25 and your running pump gas with a iron head with no problems.

If so I'd be interested what you have for cranking compression along with cam profile and if you didn't mind sharing.
Unless your living and driving near Mt Everest, I'd like to know how your doin it.

:)

That static compression 10.25 doesn't seem that high. A stock pre 96 camshaft would bring the dynamic below 8:1 perhaps even 89 octane would work fine?

Hello,

Yes I have 10.25:1 Static
My cam is Comp Xtreme 4x4 68-239-4
The Comp cam brings my dynamic compression to 8.37:1
I am running Shell's new 93 "Super Nitro +" gas
I live about 900 ft above sea level

This combo seams to be working ok for break in. I have some issues unrelated to the compression and quench such as 25-30# of fuel pressure  (installing new fuel pump assembly this weekend). Also the engine does not yet have a flash tune so it is rough around the edges.

However, saying that I have drove it around a few times and tried to get on it. So far no problems with detonation or pinging or audible noises of piston hitting the head. It sounds strong and mean :D

I will let you know after the fuel pump and tune are done how its going but if you are running good fuel I don't think you should have too many problems.

Oh!

And I used Yella Terra 1.7:1 roller rockers and found push rods super cheap on rockauto that seam to work fine.

The pushrod part # is: Sealed power RP3171
Overall Length 9.594

They cost $2.55 each
