Most of the stroker failures have resulted from the use of aftermarket cams which was why I chose to keep the stock cam and valve train (except for Yella Terra roller rockers) in mine. In doing so I gave up a few HP but hopefully gained reliability and longevity. I'm closing in on 70k miles with my stroker and 244k miles on the Jeep.shdybrady wrote:Alright this has been weighing on my mind. Im using a 4 weight crank, 4.2 rods out of an block and non forged pistons. With the proper machining and balancing, does this combo have the potential for longevity. With the proper break in and maintenance, i want this thing to have the ability to run for 100,000-200,000 miles
