Anytime you can make a head flow better you will make more power. Providing you are matching components to optimize the flow rates.

One crude example would be;
A head that gives you an increase at a large valve opening mated to a cam that doesn't have the lift is`nt going to get you to far. Things like quench, cam dynamics, flow, thermal properties and harmonics are no strangers.

Before I got started on the stroker I looked at the entire package. From vehicle weight, gear ratio(s), normal operating RPM range, fuel etc. and created a baseline. From there designed an engine that would meet the performance specs that I was looking for.
