Re: correct injectors?
EV6 is a type of injector, usually associated with having multiple holes. Technically, the connections are called Jetronic/Minitimer, and USCAR. The 703 neons are EV6 with jetronic connection. Most of the time, EV1 will have the first type of connection and EV6 will have the newer type.

Re: correct injectors?
I thought that was the whole idea of the 703's- EV6 4 hole with EV1 connector.

Re: correct injectors?
Here are pics of my stock injector and plug. The outsides look the same but the inside looks a tiny bit different.
Also, will I need to replace the o-rings that came with the used neon injectors or can I re-use them?

Re: correct injectors?
Here's the inside connection of the neon injector.
The bottom middle rail looks smaller(thinner) than the one on my jeep.
Once my jeep cools down, I will just try plugging it in and see if it fits. Hopefully that will tell me once and for all.
This injector stuff is CONFUSING!

Re: correct injectors?
Yes, they will fit. Same connector. But as Maud'Dib said they may be a bit large for a 4.0L + mods.

Re: correct injectors?
Can I use my adjustable FPR to bring the flow rate down for the 4.0?

Re: correct injectors?
Yes i said that once before.... Just try not to go down below stock pressures to ensure automation.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

Re: correct injectors?
What do you guys think would happen if I just put the neon injectors in my mild 4.0 and no AFPR? Would it cause serious problems?
Stupid question I know, but I gotta learn.

Re: correct injectors?
if the flow rate is too much and they piss too much fuel into the engine, on the extreme side, youll run pig rich, perhaps smoke black and get shitty mileage. on the extreme side

Re: correct injectors?
The PCM wouldn't be happy. It likes the fuel trims as close to 0 as possible. Under WOT you will be running pig rich and blowing black smoke. Wasting gas, losing mileage and plus the rings and cylinders don't like unburnt fuel. Are you really that fond of these injectors? If not sell them to someone with a stroker and but correctly sized injectors.

Re: correct injectors?
First off, I would like to apologize for all my redundant and ignorant question. So I thank you guys for all of your help on this thread and putting up with me.
Its not that Im fond of them. I got a set of 8 for super cheap and money is super tight with me being a single father.
I honestly thought they were the newer style 4 spray hole and not the increased flow type. I just would like to use them since I have them.
I read from [Muad'Dib] that it would be safe to use these neon injectors with my adjustable FPR(not installed yet) and the fuel pressure turned down to near stock. So I will try this out once I get a FUEL PRESSURE gauge and go from there.
If what Im going to do doesnt sound right to any of you, please fill free to smack me and let me know.
THANKS
Jeff

Re: correct injectors?
That should work. An you might not be that far off as you do have a lower fuel pressure to begin withflexin91xj wrote: I read from [Muad'Dib] that it would be safe to use these neon injectors with my adjustable FPR(not installed yet) and the fuel pressure turned down to near stock.
