does anyone have the pinouts per year etc? I have a 97, and Im very close to positive that its the same as the 99. I actually have both (my donor jeep is a 99) but I already hacked the 99 up to make a 'hybrid' harness. im gonna look, but it would be awesome if the srt wiring matched.

A27: MAP sensor signal
A31: Ground

B4: No. 1 Injector
B5: No. 3 Injector
B6: No. 5 Injector
B12: No. 6 Injector
B15: No. 2 Injector
B16: No. 4 Injector

Just checked the 97fsm and the wiring is the same as the 99.

hmmm, was the harness really that worth it? I was def gonna buy it, but it does make the engine bay even more messy.....I wish it wouldnt be a bunch of work just to move the whole ecu and FIC under brake booster.

heres a pic, kinda showing how i tried to clean up the engine bay. its the only one I have with the ecu in the shot. I tucked the wiring up behind the ecu closer to the fender.

$145 is a lil steep for the harness, but I can remove the fic in 20 seconds and revert to stock and don't have a hacked up stock harness.

what do you think about water proofing it? I know that its not an issue for you but it could def be a problem for me.

well I took your advice and figured since I saved enough on the AEM, i could afford the harness...its just weird spending twice the money on 10 inches of wire, than what I spent on the FIC.

heres a shot of how I was able to kinda hide it a little to try and keep the bay clean. I still havent wired it up yet...but are there any resistors or anything I have to worry about? or just take the wire thats labeled and attach it to the pins you specified? what about getting a base number or anything like that? I had to clear it to get my laptop to recognize it, I guess it had outdated software on it. I updated it, and it runs fine with the computer, but all the cells are zeroed out.

I seem to remember something about a resistor for the O2 sensors, but not sure. AEM has a forum and I believe Bryson on Naxja said something about the resistors... but I don't recall completely.

I think Im going to put it up under the brake booster, or maybe on the fire wall, im not positive yet. It all has to be pulled back out to be wired anyway. right now Im working on an alt bracket for my alt relocation/ac delete.

Yeah, I have both the upstream and downstream connected with 1.1Kohm resistors(has dropped the target 14.7:1 down to 14.2:1 without even +/- in the o2 map). Anyhow, I'm gonna disco the downstream o2 from the AEM since I believe the o2 map works in parallel and thus is designed for apps with 2 upstream o2s(aka 00+ Jeep/Chrysler vehicles).

how lean an we safely run? and can the aem store multiple tunes, ro can I just save multiple tunes on the laptop, and just load whichever I need?

the thinking is having one that is very lean for interstate trips. wouldnt it be nice to throw on a set of street tires, and make a trip with 30+ mpgs?

Just to be clear, you can't tune the ignition with one of these, right? It's only used to set the fuel map?
