Where have all this works been done?

Well.... good question!!

An good workshop is hard to find here in the UAE

With the best recomandation I got Alyasy 7 Performance

Image

They usualy build that kind of engines  and they are for sure the best, if you want to have an unique engine!!! They did already strokers before and I am very happy with there work! (nevertheless I am there every day!)

Image

Image

What shall I say? They never spend 1 dirham for advertising but I had to wait for my build up 3 weeks to get an apointment!!They are bussy like hell and you sould see who are there customers.... many very well knowen persons!!

Also they participate at the drag race @ yas marina circuit (pro street7 with an Nissan Skyline 1080 RWHP) and at the Liwa dune race. The Nissan partrol above has 2000 RWHP with an 4 step NOS injection out of an 9L V8 race engine

Phase IV: testing, trouble shooting

So, now I have ~400 Km on the clock and everything runs fine. Just the already mentioned bugs are to be fixed. I checked every 40-50 Km the engine and searched for leakages or lose hoses / cables. Seams to be OK. Temperature seam to be OK as well with 190-200 F in city traffic as same as on the highway. Oil pressure is on idle at 18-20 and with 2000 at 50 PSI. So seam to be OK as well. See the pictures below from the first oel change (@160km). Everything clean and clear. I believe this is an indication for an good workmanship from 7Performance!

First bug to fix are!

- batery to change -- Done--
- small oil leak at the rear side of the oil pan
- small coolant leak at the lower hose connection to the water pump
- exhausted header to be changed with an model from 1999 (car is from2001 and Head from 1999) --bought but not build in jet--
- Accle Injectors to install with new fuel rail.--arranged and ready at Saturday--

Where is the rod balancing fixture? Putting the rods on a scale and simply weight matching them isn't how it is done.

Hey SilverXJ,

I did it as per this discription: http://www.eatonbalancing.com/blog/2007 ... ng-part-4/

Wasn't this the right way? Hmmm ..... At the top side was taken 4,5 g and at the back around 2,5g. Anyway it was not so much.

I saw that you are almost runing for the same set up as mine. Very sad to see thru which deep valleys you have to go with your project. Wish you good luck!

That is the correct way. I just didn't see the balancing fixture in the pics and didn't see any material taken off the big end.

I am running out of ideas on mine.

What about that head gasket?? When you took the pic did you just have it on backwards and then put it on correctly during assembly?

Yes, I just placed the gasket on the block to take a picture. It was the wrong side around and got changed later. You can see the not fitting holes for the head bolts at the lower side.

Small update

Got the break in time behind me. 2nd oil change with 1550Km (~1000Miles) without big problems. Once in the morning the stroker did not wanted to start, but the problem came from an cable at the cam sensor, which was properly broken during the engine swap. Replaced it and the problem was solved.
The stroker itself runs very mean and powerful. I have to be more carefuly with the throttle now.

The trank have been redesigned. 2 reasons. First : the box made of wood was to heavy and secound: no space for the Nitrous bottle

Here the first design:

Then here the seound.

I installed an conservative VCN 1000, Computerized Nitrous System with the bottle in the trank and the control unit in the ashtray. Nicely hidden from the "stewards"

Image

The first 5 shots are done with an 25-35 HP nozzle. Everything was fine and the stroker did not run lean in any of the shots. The 50-60HP shots are just an awesome feeling ....uhhh..... but it runs slightly lean in high RPM. My engine mechanic, which is very expirianced with Nitrous saied it wont't be a problem, because it runs lean for not even an seound till it shifts down, but nevertheless, I will keep the 25-35HP nozzle for now. (just to remind you, I designed the engine for the Nitrous. Piston to wall clearance are 0.005" bigger, colder spark plugs, forged pistons etc.)

I enjoy the stroker vey much and with the Nitrous I think I surprised several SUV driver like BMW X5, Touareg, Cayenne & Co. already
