I've always had a slight misfire at idle. Not really noticeable.... just like a flat spot in the exhaust tone.

Years ago (like 14) I had an mj that had the cat come apart. it barely ran. when i pulled it(not knowing it was the cat-just desperate) the "honeycomb" had cracked apart and turned sideways :o I had to use a hammer and pipe to break it up/out so i could even drive it.

OK problem is back wasn't the cat, though that did help gas mileage out some. Plugs 1 and 6 seem to be to be running richer than 2-4 anymore suggestions?

what fuel injectors are you using? have you had the jeep running and pulled the plug wires to confirm what cylinder is missing? then do the same thing with the fuel injector wires. that will help you narrow down to what cylnders are missing. and then check to see if the injectors are plugged or defective that will cause a missing issue. if you want to make sure it is injectors if you find one that dosent make a difference when you pull the injector plugs off, you could switch them around and see if the miss move with the injectors.

Its not a dead miss I think whatever cylinder it is is still firing just not complete combustion. I have pulled all the injector wires one at a time but every cylinder definitely makes it worse.
