I count my Jeeps as small body AMCs (2 of the 3)
87 MJ 3090 lbs
90 XJ. 3400 lbs
the 94 not so much AMC any more.

I was thinking of doing this myself as a friend of mine that builds race engines recommended it. He won't build a flat tappet cam engine any more. He was suggesting using a bronze lifter bore insert with a key and slotted lifters as is now the practice in his nascar engines.

I will probably have to makr a billet ccam for my run, anybody need any blanks, maybe i can get the price down. Blanks will be made from 8620

I voted trail and reliability, but my biggest use is trailering, since I pull a boat and a tractor, both in the 4000# range. I worry about heat and stress on the engine.
