LOL yea i was thinking if it was like 6 degrees off. 1 or 2 i'll live with. Hopefully (and probably) you're right.

Just get an offset dowel bushing set and dial it in where you want it. They are cheap! Enlarge cam dowel hole with drill to fit the desired bushing in and you're done. And yes, get ahold of a real degree wheel.... The bigger diameter the better.

well yu wouldn't believe it, but the timing gear WAS marked incorrectly. One tooth off. I'll get pics of it. Nuts....

Good to hear you found the problem.... Don't assume anything, Always degree the cam in. I've seen my share of "new" parts that are defective.
