runs just as good with mapsensor unhooked

hello everyone ..thanks for taking the time to help me out ...
so i was swapping injectors and i forgot to hook up the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator and the map sensor vacuum line ..why would my jeep run exactly the same with the unhooked ..i did order new map sensor for the 20 bucks they cost why not ..and if anyone has a link for someone who makes adjustable map sensors i could use one ..on the firewall style...thanks everyone much appreciated
