Jeep Cherokee XJ SRT6 Build

Post by Cummins90 »

Hey I have this build in a couple forums and at some point it will get a stroker motor so why not here as well. It would have been cool to see team viper/pvo pick up the idea of a performance package for the late 90s early 2000 cherokee. Sadly they didn't but this is how I would have liked to see it done.

Hook up the block coolant feed to the lower port on the turbo. The upper coolant will loop over to the heater core inlet. Tip the manifold runner number 1 up and attach the downpipe. Pull it back into position and thread the oil drain into the pan.

Install your narrow and wideband sensors. Install the oil feed line on the turbo and run it up through the intake manifold as you install it.

Install your charge pipes and intercooler. I cut my bumper and put it there. I installed champion spark plugs from an 88 XJ. Run your vac lines and boost ref lines.

Nice! is that your new cast turbo exaust manifold? How are you supplying the extra fueling and retarding the timing curve if it needs it. Hows it run and how much boost? Are you tuning the jtec computer yet?

The manifold is mild steel welded together on a fixture, I have a bunch of them. I use an aem FIC but also have HP as well. Just havent had any free time lately due to the Cov.
