2004 wj stroker
I have a 4.7 stroker with 9.5 compression with a delta cam 202/209 at .050 with .412 lift, heads have 2.0/1.62 valves mild porting to blend the larger valves. Only other item is a header that should bolt up to the cats. Injectors will be stock. The target vehicle is a 2004 jeep Grand Cherokee. Will the computer handle this engine with out needing to be reprogrammed?

I'd recommend camshaft upgrade for your 4.7 and something closer to a 27 pound injector.
With the correct recipe of parts you shouldn't need a tune

Camshaft upgrade a little vague. What your recommendation?

HCE,
Would be happy to make a camshaft recommendation.
In order to make a specific recommendation I would need to have more information than what you've provided.
You're welcome to send me an email or give me a call.
Thanks,

Took the dive. 4.0 came out 4.6 went in. Drives great computer handles it just fine. No pinging on 87 octane with 9.5 compression. If I get bored may try larger injectors in the future.

Stock injectors untuned? Have you done much WOT yet?

Re: 2004 wj stroker
Stock injectors, no tuning and have not noticed any noticeable fuel starvation or other issues. Runs nicely to 5000 rpm, acts like a stock 4.0 with just more power everywhere. I was a little worried of the computer handling it as there is very little information out there with stokers and obd II. Not saying there might be a little more to extract with tuning, but this combo works nicely.

I cannot recommend strongly enough that you buy a wideband O2 sensor and at least look to see what AFR you have at WOT.
