Building a 4.2 mini stroker
My 99 xj needs an engine.. So I tore my 96 xj 4.0 down. After talking to Russ a little I'm convinced I "need" a stroker haha. I'm leaning towards the 677 pistons due to making my compression ratio too high and needing premium. Any thoughts?

Re: Building a 4.2 mini stroker
If you're on a limited budget, a 4.1/4.2 mini-stroker would be cheaper to build but a 4.6/4.7 stroker would give you at least 12% more torque. How much are you willing to spend?

I don't wanna spend too much. This is my daily driver not a toy. In theory the 4.2 should be economical on fuel also.
