i am very much looking forward to getting it. BTW are you running a FPR? or just a map adjuster?
MIne was new.. and it sounds like yours was too.
I have both a FPR and MAP Adjuster. Ive found on my RENIX, adjusting MAP too far one way or the other causes cold start issues. Im still dealing with lean tip in also
Where did you get your FPR and MAP adjuster? Jeff Leigh? What did they run ya?
Didnt think a FPR was neccassary doesnt the stock system run at like 35 er 39 psi?
Lean tip in is usually a term used when talking to people with turbos. What it is though is basically going lean right when you press the gas to go. Im sure i can cure this with a piggyback.. just short on cash so i havent made the purchase.
lean tip in wrote:is when you boost during partial throttle, closed-loop, and the ECU tries to fight the richer ratios then stoich before it enters open-loop.
I use lean tip in to describe my problem because to me thats what it is (minus having anything to do with turbos and boost). "Lean when i tip into the accelerator."
I built my own map adjuster using readily available parts at Radioshack. Ive found on my RENIX i dont really touch the MAP voltage anymore and i only use the AFPR. Too many weird issues adjusting MAP voltage. The FPR i purchased from Jeff Leigh... but if i were to do the purchase again i would consider purchasing the Hesco one. The one i have seems to work but it has limited adjustability to bring the fuel pressure down. Bringing the fuel pressure up is no issue.
