DECK...How much?

Post by EVIL95XJ »

Taking all my parts in to the machine shop tomorrow. How much should the deck be milled?

that somewhat depends on your parts selection. the stroker calc at the top right of this site and using your part info (ie: cam choice, piston cc, head cc, hg thickness) ... you can play around with the deck height that gives you the different SCR/DCR/Quench. you may be able to deck some to gain a more ideal/improved scr/dcr/quench

but the short answer is that you could just leave it stock.

if you do deck, you could need new shorter pushrods to keep proper valve train geometry while working within your lifter range.
