Pinouts are the list of what wires go where, so you know what you are tapping into. Found in wiring diagrams in the FSM. You maybe able to find the FSM on line. FSM=Factory Service Manual. Some other books (Chilton, Haynes) may have a wiring diagram with the list but I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

Re: Max Duty Cycle
I started a thread in the AEM Power forum page for installing an AEM F/IC 30-1913 in a Jeep 4.0 OBD1 computer.
Heres the link...
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.p ... 160.0.html
Please, if you know any tips and or tricks, post them on that thread. Of if youve actually installed the AEM F/IC 30-1913 in a Jeep 4.0 OBD1 computer please post what you know or where you know to find it.
Thanks

Re: Max Duty Cycle
What do you need to know? There isn't anything special about the AEM on the OBD1 system vs. OBDII.

Re: Max Duty Cycle
I'd like to come up with a diagram for installing the F/IC into the JEEP OBD1 computers if possible. I dont know how much different it would be from the OBD2 computers so thats why Im asking.
I see that they make jumper/extension harnesses for OBD2 cherokees and wranglers. Are these so you dont have to do a lot of cutting and splicing and make it a "plug and play" setup?

Re: Max Duty Cycle
Put a scan tool on your obd port. It will tell you your duty cycle.

Re: Max Duty Cycle
Get a FSM and do the diagram yourself. That way you know its correct.

Re: Max Duty Cycle
FSM=Factory Service Manual? Im guessing youre not talking about Haynes or Chiltons? Ive been looking through both of their electrical digrams and they are kinda helpful, but they could be tons better.
Do they make a FSM for every specific model for every year? Hopefully their diagrams are lots better.
Sorry for all the newbie stupid questions, but I really appreciate all your guys help and being cool about it. Thanks!

Yes, its what the dealer uses. Their diagrams are 100% and they usually just have a pin out for the connectors as to what does what so you don't have to wade through the diagrams.Do they make a FSM for every specific model for every year? Hopefully their diagrams are lots better.
