Can these be made to work with the Eagle 6.150 long forged con rods?
What is the pin height? Can it be changed?

I designed the parameters for the forge tool and yes we can make a piston to suit that rod

Nice looking pistons! Do you have an approximate pin and piston weight. What would the minimum compression height without getting into the oil ring?

I do not have a weight on them they wont be the lightest piston out there but definately not a heavy piston, but I cannot say at this time. I would not be afraid to put the pin into the oil rings...ring lands take care of all that. We can go around 1.15 maybe smaller depending on the rings you would want to use.

Awesome!

This may open allot of opportunities for rod choices. Stock rod 6.123" + (1.38-1.15) = 6.353" connecting rod potential. Assuming a stock deck height block and 1.38" comp height to yield a zero deck clarence set-up, then decreasing the comp height to 1.15", and adding that diff. in comp height to obtain longer rod length (somebody please check me on this). There are allot of forged 6.2", h and I beam rods out there, although, not sure about big end widths on those though.

These particular pistons were:

3.905 diameter
1.380 CH
5/64 5/64 3/16
28CC dish

But they can be made to suit just about any build for no extra.

Do you offer any coatings?

I get about 15.75 oz for the piston.

Thats just under 450 grams. Not a heavy heavy piston and not the lightest piston in racing. As far as coatings go there are some really good sources if you want to run ceramic hard coat on the top and if you would like a teflon skirt but we do not offer the coatings that would be a customer responsibility but if you order a set you want coated please let us know it can change the finish dimensions of the piston and may change the machined size.

J.B. weigh a stock piston when you get a chance.

FSM is showing 510-514 grams (less pin). It shows the same weight for the 4.2l piston which is .125" less diameter??? So, x2 on getting that actual weight.
450g is a good weight for a piston this size. It would be light for 4"+ piston, but for 3.875"+ size that seems about right. Don't mean to seem "hung-up" about weight, but one of the best things for reducing the harmonic in the I6 engine is to reduce the recipricating weight at each crank throw; pistons like these combined with a forged steel rod (~565g) would give a 16-17% weight reduction from the stock components, which in turn, will reduce some of the crank flexing during the harmonic!
