lol its ok, I know I posted it while you were on vacation. Some of the topics are blue or white, Im guessing blue means I havent viewed it yet? And sometimes the little article lines off to the left in the circle move, sometime theyre red, and Im guessing the asterisk means Ive posted?

Re: Question about thread icon meanings/legend
There is alot going on here so let me try to make sure i cover them all.seanyb505 wrote:lol its ok, I know I posted it while you were on vacation. The Red Icon means a new post has been made in that topic that you have not read yet (Determined by the database NOT cookies)
The Blue Icon means there are no new posts in the topic that you have read.
The Icon (Red or Blue) that looks like it has scrolling text means that topic is popular. (Threshold is currently 30 posts)
The asterisk means you have posted in the topic.
Locked, Stickied, Announced, and other special topic categories also have special icons that change color like explained above.
** If actual images would help, i can post those tomorrow when i have better access to FTP... and explain each one. There are alot.
Forum rows also change color.
The Index page and view forum pages show rows with a spanned gradient of light blue.
By default the forum rows are two shades of light blue for even and odd posts. Odd being the darker.
When you mouse over a forum row, it changes to a yellowish color.
When the forum row (on any page) has unread posts beneath it, it changes to a darker shade of blue along with changing the icon to red.
** NOTE: All of the above also occurs in your PM box
If it feels right, then STROKE it!
