hey tom got some turbo specs off of garret for a gt28 sr. is this what i should be looking for or do i need a smaller ar on the exhaust side for faster spool time looking to get it in the 2000 rpm range spooling and full boost no later then 2500?
i'm not looking to go past 5250 on the motor but will be using forged pistons so that knock isn't going to be a problem
or do i need a gt30 which has 450+horses capability but will
GT28RS Dual Ball Bearing Turbocharger
350 HP Flow Capacity
Dual Ball Bearing Center Housing
Sturdy Cast / Seal Aluminum Housing
Interal wastegate Included set to 6psi
5 Bolt Downpipe Outlet
T25 Turbine Inlet
2 3/4" diameter Inlet
Compressed air outlet 1 3/4"
Compressor Wheel Exducer Diameter: 60mm - 62 Trim
Compressor Housing: .86 A/R
Exhaust Wheel Inducer Diameter: 53.85mm - 62 Trim
Exhaust Housing A/R: .60

Great for small displacement engines up to 2.2L and has incomparable spool up time compared to other turbochargers

i figure when they say this they mean between 3500 and 4000 rpm in something that goes to 6500rpm 7500rpm
92 XJ 4D custom borla header 3" exhaust flowmaster 50series muffler.

ATK on the way then an OBD 2 swap so flyin ryan can tune.

Well Diamond said it was a bad piston.
Benny at Hesco broke a set and got me going for Cecil County Saturday.
Backed the boost back to 10 lbs
Made 8 passes
2 back to back 11.07 @ 122 MPH were the best
Car works great but needs new rear tires and the driver needs to learn to drive again.
Much thanks to Benny at Hesco and Diamond.

WOW! Please say you are coming to the All AMC Drag Meet in Cordova, IL in Sept... would LOVE to see this baby run (yeah, I know it's a long haul). You would seriously shock some of the guys with the stroked 401's out there!

OK, I have a 258 T5 J10 I bought a Turbo and 4.0 for, which is not going to be wild, just mild, however, I am a HUGE fan of this bodystyle, which I know is not part of the Stroker/Turbo discussion. (I have a pristine 79 AMX 258 waiting for a 360/Mustang T5 transplant... simpler than turbo 6 for now! Fixing up an 80 AMX for my 15 yr old also have 3 SX4's and 2 Kammbacks as well as a Spirit that I am thinking of using at the local 8th mile track. 4 or 5 FSJ's and an Offroad Commando on a shortened Wagoneer frame as well)

I HAVE to know more about your suspension setup... it looks AWESome, though I realize it is probably not streetable. ANyway I can get pics/details on that? You can send them to my email at [email protected] with as many pics as you please! If there is another forum already open on this, I would appreciate the direction there.

Have a great weekend,
