First time posting

Post by AIbandit »

Just want to throw out a thank you to all of those who have contributed to this website and Muad'Dib for hosting it.
The amount of information here is really overwehlming and very helpful.

My reason for building:
I'm putting it in a XJ with rockwells and 47's my current engine is really tired (300k miles tired) so I need to step it up.

I just began collecting parts for my stroker build and hope to have it done by October for the Naxja Moab event.
So far I have Renix block, 7120 head,a ford 302 TB, and a 258 engine ( dont know what year it is yet its in a gremlin)

Still need:
99 intake manifold
main barings
pistons/rings (think im going ford sb on these)
ford #26 injectors/ Fuel pressure regulator
headers
cam/valvetrain
ghetto rigged mustang'ish air intake
good motormounts
gasket set
TB spacer
I think thats everything :) with alot of machine work

(decided I should donate... thats right 1 post donator... owned :rockout: )

Thanks I look forward to being a part of it.

I'm working on a complete guide to disasembling the Renix that includes photo's of bolt locations, possible snags, all tools and sizes required for each pieces removal and one complete tool list. I know its simple wrench turning stuff. Maybe it can help people pulling parts from a junkyard. Save them from making trips to pick up tools. I'll toss it up when I'm done compiling it to PDF.

Don't know if you've seen my Stang "true" CAI over on JF. It functions quite well but it's not ghetto rigged. It was engineered in my southern driveway/garage however. :rockout: When I point it out to non-Jeep folks, they think it's stock. If you've not seen it, follow the linky:

For good motor mounts I would go only with brown dog mounts. http://browndogindustries.com/
