Interested in a travel?

Post by gregorio87 »

Hi to all Jeepers!
I live in Italy, in Tuscany, between Pisa and Florence. I'm 24. I've a 4.0 YJ with 33" tyres and 4" lift, full painted as look as General Lee of Hazzard.
My dream, from when I was young it's to go in USA.
There is anyone, that is interested to do a "cultural exchange" from Italy to US for this summer?
I think it's possible to do this: one week I can come in USA, and another week a dude can come here in Italy and live in my house (I live on a hill, in a post medieval restructured house) at 0 cost, only the fly.
I have the sea at about 15 miles from me, if anyone is looking for it.
Surely we can exchange our Jeep and 4x4 experiences, mechanical projects, food, and new stories, to enjoy us in another state.
For communication, I think that you can understand me, though my language isn't perfect. And I can teach a little bit of Italian language :)
If anyone is interested please reply. Bye

Greg

I don't think I can afford a trip to Italy at the moment. I will be finishing my bachelors degree in May, hopefully starting a job near Chicago over the summer. If so, I can gladly host a visitor for a few weeks. My girlfriend speaks Italian just in case.
Personally, I think 1 week is too short for such an expensive plane ticket. 2 to 3 weeks would give you some time to see different areas.

I wish you to find a good job, what do you study?

Yes, also I think that a week is too short time for this trip, but I've think this because I have 3 weeks of holiday at work, and I think that in this period it will be both possible, to host and to go.

Oh really? Good! She's come from Italy or she has studied it at school?

Getting a double major in Information Systems and Business Management concentrating in International Business. My girl took Italian in high school and went to Italy for a week or 2, and can't stop dreaming about going back. I should know by the end of next week if I get the Chicago job or not. Tuscany is beautiful and I would to go back. We shall see in due time.

Sicily!? I was there 3 times for work to Palermo, four years ago, when I drove the truck.
It's very beautiful land, with a bit confusion in car's traffic :)
