Had this old girl dropped off (free) in my drive way about a month ago. Just working on getting it put back together for now.

Grandpa owned a salvage yard...been working on cars my whole life. Just got a place with a garage again for the first time in 5 years. Then I got a jeep...go figure. My fab skills are more "barn yard" than "shade tree"... :smack: but I can get the job done.

hey sorry didnt see this, but i've got a 4.0 with 144 on the odo, runs great! previous owner kept it real nice, synthetic fluids too.

i think my first step is to swap in a d44a from the v8 models, but i'm gonna truss it and get an upgrade cover from bluetorch fab, to offset the aluminum housing problem.

budgets suck! :frustrated: lol

I feel your budget pains. I've been working on mine for over a decade now. Patience is good but its getting ridiculous.

I need some newer pics. The flares are now painted on my '97 XJ (stats in my profile).

That '97 Camaro SS in the pic was traded a few months ago for an all stock '02 WJ (no pics yet) with a 4.0.
Plans are to build a stroker for the XJ and after it's running good, build one for the WJ.

Do you have any info on this? I have been playing with the idea of picking up a WJ wheel.

I thought my Jeep was pretty clean, but I think you beat me. Do you wax the underside of the hood too?
