Just wondering if anyone knows the correct pilot bearing to use when mating the 258 crank to my 98 ax-15? I bought Part # FC-69907 from advanced auto and got it in, but have been having trouble mounting the trans up to the engine and am wondering if thats why?

Any help is greatly appreciated. :brickwall:

i had a 258 infront of a 91-94 ax15 the pilot bearing was a 3/4" inner diameter and was for a 4.0l. did you confirm the pilot you bought was for the ax15 input? i only ask cause i tried a pilot for a 258 and it was too small. I ended up making a brass or copper sleeve for inside the crank to beat the pilot into.

I bought this one and it worked just fine: Crown Automotive 53009180AB Clutch Pilot bearing.
