So my head is spinning from all the reading so I thought it'd be best just to ask.
I'm going to be installing a 4.6 stroker in my CJ. Of course the CJ7 has a mechanical fuel pump, so that will need to be addressed. From what I've read I could use a YJ sending unit with fuel pump, but looking at the images they top plate is square to my CJ's round opening. Can someone tell me what's what? Also I know that the fuel tank level signals are different but I have a set of Speedhut gauges that I can adjust the signal to reflect the proper numbers.
Thanks.

The early YJ steel tanks are round tops. Can't say they would interchange with a CJ but ts a start.

The early YJ's also had the 4.2 which had the mechanical fuel pump. Thank you though.

But not the 2.5 liters. Electric in the tank with a round sender unit.
