New Stroker Possible issues HELP

Post by 9motels »

Hello,

I have had my stroker in my Jeep for a few months now with about 1500 miles.

The other day it mildly overheated on my thanks to a bad radiator cap. Everything seems okay regarding that I believe other then I need a new thermostat due to it being a fail safe and is now always open.

Ever since this engine was new its had a mildly rough idle. Not bad but noticable, once the rpms go up it smooths right out.

The other issue is when im under the jeep while the engine is running it sounds more like a diesel.

Also when I checked the plugs to me they looked like it was running super lean. No Codes or anything.

I am going to attach the invoice of the engine build as well as a link to the video I took of how the engine sounds when underneath.

I guess what I'm asking is, are these things to worry about or are they completely normal.

We’ll also need to know what year Jeep to anticipate the fuel pressure in order to make an injector recommendation

Okay to start with. It is a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

As far as the injectors go that's difficult to answer. I thought they were stock but they are not a Mopar injector. When I Look up the part number I cant find anything online to say what it is.

The part number is 01G144B Underneath it also says 5343
