Stroker cranks

Post by aguiar_racer »

Currently have scat rotating assembly with 4” pistons on nitrous race 100yds in sand in 4lo with 3.07 gearing
Been told by a few people if i switch to the 12 cwt crank would run a little faster wondering if thats true?

A "PROPERLY" balanced reciprocating assembly is most of the key, a 12 CW crank has better harmonics, I don't think its ever been proven either way??
There was a dingle berry on here some time ago that was SO! convinced that a 4 CW crank made more HP that he was going to use on in his rock crawling rig!??, a drag racer guy once told me that he used a 40# flywheel and got quicker ET's??
On our circle burners we go as light as possible, but we speed up and slow down as quick as possible twice each lap for 50+ laps.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!

The short answer is yes.

If I had greater access or ability to obtain, 90% of my builds would utilize a 12cwt
