What IAC for Renix stroker

Post by 88mjolympic »

I'm rounding up parts for a 93' block and 7120 head for my stroker build. Going into my 88' Comanche, keeping all Renix fuel injection and sensors. Plan on using a bored TB along with tps adapter. Does anyone know what IAC you use with the HO TB and Renix controls? Does the Renix wiring and ECM work with the HO IAC? Also I've read a lot about the 99 up intake (with p/s pump, bracket, and belt pulley adjuster). Is the intake swap worth it? I know to use the 91-95 fuel rail and adapt the Renix fuel and return lines to it. Thanks

The renix IAC. All of your sensors will stay renix.

In my opinion the 99+ instake is my only regret. It was a pain in the ass and resulted in multiple pains in the ass. Once you take that leap everything you do in that area has to be "custom".

The only benefit is a decent pully adjuster.

Thanks Donator
So the pintail on the Renix IAC fits the HO throttle body just fine? And if I understand you correctly, I should just use the 93’ intake for what little gains the “horseshoe” intake might gain? Thanks
