longevity of .060 over piston bore

Post by MunkMaster »

So as it sits right now my block has .040 over piston size. To get the proper quench and all that jazz .060 over is looking like the route I might have to go. For the guys that are running motors with that size bore how many miles have you put on the engines. I am just thinking longevity, I dont want to put the time and energy into this to have it have redo it in a couple of years. It is an 88 block and I will be rock climbing trails along with days in mud trails.

Thanks in advance for the help

Going +0.060" in a 4.0L block isn't an issue.
