Got my 4.7 fired up for the first time and I have a tick in my valve train. Pulled the cover and verified the rockers are torqued to 21 ft/lbs but yet there is some wiggle in some of the rockers.
I'm running Russ' custom ground 242 Comp Cams camshaft, factory springs, valves, rockers and everything else under the cover (241k miles). The cam specs - duration 255/263, lift .435/.448, lobe 113.
I either need longer push rods or the factory springs are too high in mileage and need to be replaced. Any one else run into a similar problem?
Valve lash/tick/irritation??
