OBX vs Doug Thorley Headers
I'm having a custom 3" exhaust made and I figured I might as well tak the oppurtunity to convert to the later style dual outlet manifold/header set up mostly in hopes it will prevent cracking issues, but also hoping I can get better flow. I ordered a OBX header based mostly on one person's repeated reviews all over the net. I wasn't at all pleased with what I received so I sent it back from a refund (thank you amazon) and bought a Doug Thorley instead. I'll type more details later, but I needed to get the pictures posted from my home computer, so I'll do that now:

Video showing the OBVIOUS HUGE DIFFERENCE in the thickness of the primary tubing. No clue how to imbed it, but if anybody knows how, feel free to do it.

Re: OBX vs Doug Thorley Headers
Quick and dirty, the OBX had terrible welds in many spots (nice ones in some spots as well), mismatched flanges in several places, VERY thin tubing, but very big primary and collector ports (1.5" primaries and 2" collectors).
The Doug Thorley was clearly made from much stronger/thicker material and came ceramic coated. The welds look much better, and everything inside looks smooth and aligned. It did have considerably smaller primary ID's (1.3") and collectors (1.5"). I plan to have them opened up some before the install. Not the sizes they were advertising on their site, but maybe they were talking about OD and can blame it on have thicker tubing?
